For what it’s worth, the Flying Spaghetti Monster (a.k.a. FSM) is fairly decent satire–at least on a purely emotional level. In this essay I examine a particular tongue-in-cheek fiction from my own personal experience that simply fails. It fails precisely because the satire in question is not intended to be fictional.
